Steven Matthew Youngs

Steven M. Youngs, 55, of Aurora died at his home Friday, November 20, 2015. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y. on December 6, 1959, son of the late Louis and Patricia (Davis) Youngs. Steve was a certified Heating, Ventilation, and Air Condition technician and was extremely adept at working with his hands. He was also a talented artist who had a unique ability at creating a wide range of works that included drawings, paintings, pastels and wood burning. Steve was a Christian who was devoted to God and his faith was lived out on a daily basis in every day ways. He loved music, camping and the outdoors. As a young man, he spent a year hitchhiking across the country. He was also a lifelong Star Trek and Buffalo Bills fan.

Steve was a devoted father and step-father who cherished his family. He had a lighthearted wit and loved to make people laugh. Steve had a magnetic personality. Family and friends were drawn to his warmth and compassion. He did not have acquaintances; you were either his friend or he hadn't met you yet.

Steve is survived by his soulmate Marci, with whom he had a close and special relationship, his children Seth and his wife Tiffanie, Renee, Tambridge, Jennifer and Amber; his siblings, Terry and her husband Brad, Lori and her husband Russ and Ray; his grandson Jack; his nieces Janae, Sarah and her husband John, Emily and her husband Tom, Stephanie and her husband James and Savannah; great nieces and great nephews, Teja, Tierah, Caleb, Mia, Brendan, Camden, Jillian and Lucas.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to one of three of the Salvation Army programs; Harbor Light Denver, The Aurora Corps or Intermountain Youth Dept.
