Sylvia Legare, age 79 died peacefully with her children by her side at the Bethany Nursing home located in Lakewood Co.
Born to Frank and Victoria (Ramesz) Jakanoski, Sylvia was raised and educated in Glasgow Mt.
She married the late W.E. (Gene) Legare in June of 1952. She enjoyed crafts and painting in her later years having many of her paintings chosen for the Alzheimer's Assoc. yearly fundraising auction called "Memories in The Making" raising thousands of dollars.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John, and a son, Bruce. She is survived by 3 children, Mary (Rick) Weyer of Parker, Co., Ken Legare, also of Parker, Co., and Richard (Sue) Legare of Billings, Mt.; 3 granddaughters, Sarah, Megan and Angela and 2 great granddaughters, Lexi and Sophie. She is also survived by her sister Margaret Palmer of Great Falls, Mt.
Sylvia will be missed as she was a loving mother and friend.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff of the Bethany Rehabilitation Center for all their kindness and support during a trying time.
A memorial service will be held later in the spring in Glasgow, Mt.
