Tad "Lyon" Francis William Pound

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Tad "Lyon" Francis William Pound. Tad was born on November 1, 1974, in Brisbane, Australia, and passed away on July 20, 2026, in Aurora, Colorado, due to complications from personal health and surgeries. Known as "Lyon" to his friends and Tad to his family, he moved to the United States with his family, living primarily in Colorado and spending a few teenage years in New Mexico. He attended Gateway High School in Aurora, Colorado. Following in his mother's footsteps, Tad entered the medical field, obtaining his nursing license from The Community College of Denver and helping many people throughout his long career. He had a wide range of hobbies and interests, including writing, board and video gaming, karaoke, motorcycles, and participating in various social groups. Most would describe Lyon as having a huge personality, being a great soul, loving with his whole heart, and being an amazing man whose laugh and smile could bring sunshine to anyone's day. Tad is survived by his siblings, Peter, Sean, and Daniel Pound; his Lost and Found Brother, Dean Haslep; his stepmother, Karen Pound; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, H.C. "Tad" Pound; his mother, Nancy R. Pound; and his sister, Katherine "Kitty" Pound.
