Thea Ellen McKaig, 87, of Denver, passed away August 4, 2015.
She was born August 2, 1928 in Berlin, Germany, the daughter of Luigi and Greta (Lindner) Sanella. She was a graduated from the University of Northern Colorado. On July 7, 1947, she married Blair McKaig.
Thea enjoyed attending theater, symphony, and opera performances. She loved to entertain and feed everyone. She made sure that no one felt left out and that everyone felt special in her presence. Thea was a very selfless person and no sacrifice was too small. In her youth, Thea endured the ravages of wartime Germany and these experiences shaped her compassionate and positive personality. Above all, her family will remember how an extraordinary and a unique individual that she was, beloved by all who knew her.
Thea is survived by Two Daughters, Nora (Robert) Hagman and Mercedes McKaig; Three Sons, Raymond McKaig, Dennis G. McKaig and Anthony Blair (Lois) McKaig; Fourteen Grandchildren, Christa R. (Jay) McBurney, Aaron Blair (Laura) McKaig, Patience McKaig, Brian P. Hagman, Matthew A. Hagman, Amanda L. (Jon) Marshall, Clifford D. (Tracey) Swaim, Thea J. (Michael) Harold, Jennifer N. (Thomas ) McKaig, Joel G. McKaig, Evan D. McKaig, Lorryn M. McKaig, Brooke J. McKaig and Numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by Husband, Blair W. McKaig, Grandchild, Annelie K. Sanford, Grandchild, Candice R. McKaig, Mother, Greta Ann Jurgensen and Father, Luigi Sanella.
