Theresa Marie Gallik

Theresa Marie Gallik, 58, of Aurora, passed away July 8, 2015.
She was born January 18, 1957 in Golden, Colorado, the daughter of John and Barbara (Bordelon) Corson. She was a graduate of Balboa High School in Panama. On July 23, 1983 she married David Gallik, of Aurora, Colorado.
Theresa is survived by her husband, David Gallik; daughter, Simone Gallik (Isaac McGaha-Miller); parents, John and Barbara Corson; three sisters, Kathleen (David) Litman, Jennifer (Rick) O'Neal, Nina Corson; three brothers, Michael (Kathryn) Corson, Carl (Carrie) Corson, John Corson; Father and Mother-in-Law, Jacob and Susan Gallik and Francis, her beloved Scnauzer.

Theresa was a woman of many talents. She enjoyed reading gourmet cookbooks and trying out new recipes on her brave family members. Throughout her life, she elevated the art of fine cuisine and entertaining. Her culinary forte in recent years was custom-made cupcakes. She was not afraid to improvise, both in the kitchen and in her life! She absolutely loved to plan parties and enjoyed hosting, socializing, and entertaining her guests whenever possible. Her hospitality and attention to detail were second to none.

Theresa was an accomplished world traveler, vacationing in Europe, Argentina, South Korea, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Belize with her family. During her youth, she spent time in Thailand, the Philippines, Kansas and Panama. As the oldest of seven children, she was fiercely independent, loyal and a natural born leader.

Theresa believed in "living large." She enjoyed all aspects of the arts, from admiring fine art exhibits, taking in ballet and opera performances, emersing herself in the tango culture of Buenos Aires and developing a honed fashion sense throughout the years. She loved singing and dancing, and was known to rock a karaoke mike from time to time.

Theresa especially enjoyed caring for young children, elderly patients and her three Scnauzer dogs throughout the years. She cultivated a deep and uniquely personal spirituality over the years, and developed close ties of faith with many members of her Catholic church community. Through her untimely death, she was able to donate vital organs to several families in need. Her generous, compassionate and caring spirit will live on in the hearts of all she touched.
