Timothy John Paul Lovato

Timothy John Paul Lovato, lovingly known as TJ, passed away on April 5, 2026, in Castle Rock, leaving behind a legacy woven with humor, heart, and an enduring devotion to family and craftsmanship. Born on October 26, 1982, in Denver, TJ’s life was a testament to hard work, love, and creativity.

From the earliest days of his career, TJ found his calling in construction. Beginning as a laborer, he diligently worked his way up to the role of Foreman, a position he earned through dedication and skill. Among his many contributions, he was proud to have been part of the team that helped build Invesco Field, a landmark achievement that reflected his commitment and expertise in mainline utility work.

Beyond his professional life, TJ’s true joys were found in his family and artistic pursuits. A father and grandfather first and foremost, he cherished his children—Anthony Fabela (Gianna), Izaiah Delacruz, Timothy Lovato Jr. (Monique), and Jaeyda Delacruz—and found his proudest accomplishments in being a devoted dad and grandpa. His beloved grandchildren—Delilah, Alaiya, Anthony, Timothy, Romeo, and Xavier—were the lights of his life, as were his parents, Rose and Miguel Lovato, who stood by his side throughout his journey. TJ’s close family circle also included his sister, Christina Uresti (Luis), niece, Chereise Quintana-Lovato (Jake), and nephew, Nick Quintana, all of whom carry fond memories of his warmth and kindness.

TJ’s personality was marked by a unique blend of goofy humor and wise counsel; he had an irresistible way of making others laugh while offering some of the best advice.  His generosity and big heart defined the man he was, always placing others before himself.

In addition to his work and family life, TJ was a gifted woodworker and artist. Through his hands, wood transformed into beautiful cutting boards, bookshelves, and myriad other handmade treasures. His artistic spirit extended to painting, and one of his recent and most touching contributions was a mural at Sentinel Church. This mural, depicting mountains and a cross for Easter, stands as a lasting symbol of his faith, creativity, and his desire to touch the community through his art.

Though he leaves behind so many who love and cherish him, TJ’s passing also marks a profound loss. He joins in rest his best friend, Esau Ochoa—who he deeply missed yet forever remembered.

Timothy John Paul Lovato’s life was a tapestry of steadfast dedication, laughter, love, and artistry. His memory endures in the hearts of those who knew him, a beacon of light that will continue to inspire and comfort. Through his family, his work, and his art, TJ’s spirit lives on.
