Tito Rael, 87, passed away on September 5, 2026, in Denver, Colorado. Born on January 2, 1939, in San Luis, Colorado, to Sabina and Sostenes Rael, Tito was the youngest of six children—four brothers and one sister. He lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep devotion to his family and friends.

Tito was a loving husband to Ellen Rael and a devoted father to Liz Young (John) and Rhoda Gazda (Larry). He was a cherished grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. Family was at the heart of his life, and nothing meant more to him than spending time with the people he loved.

Tito was a proud honorably discharged veteran, serving his country in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1959. He carried great pride in being a veteran and in serving his country.

Known as the life of the party, Tito brought warmth, humor, and joy wherever he went. He was always a friend and always willing to lend a helping hand. His generous spirit and welcoming nature made him someone others could count on, whether they needed support, a good laugh, or simply someone to be there.

For many years, Tito enjoyed fishing and hunting trips, making memories along the way. As he grew older, his passion for spending time with family remained a constant source of happiness.

Known as “The Man at the Mint,” Tito dedicated 38 loyal years of service to the United States Mint. His commitment to his work reflected the loyalty and dedication he brought to every part of his life.

Tito will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love carried forward through generations.
