Tony Huerta

January 17, 1926 — April 24, 2013

Tony Huerta (Antonio Huerta Rojas) passed away in Denver, Colorado on April 24,2013 surrounded by family.

He was born on January 17, 1926 in San Juan Ixcaquistla, Puebla, Mexico and immigrated to the United States in 1960. Tony is survived by Angela Huerta (Rios) his wife of 58 years; they married June 26, 1954 in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. They had four sons: Tony, Miguel, Alfredo & Juan who all preceded him in death.

Over the years, Tony & Angie ran several family style Mexican restaurants in Colorado and touched many people with their love and friendship. They have ten grandchildren (Jeanette, Francie, Nathan, Nicholas, Stephanie, Raquelita, Juan, Miguel, Angel and Manuel) and nine great-grandchildren (Joseph, Jordyn, Gabriel, Ryan, Aubrie, Jack, Josephine "Jo", Adrian and William). He was affectionately referred to as "Tata". Tata's legacy lives on in his family, and we hope you will help us celebrate his life.
