Tony Trejo, a native of Colorado, passed away peacefully at his Denver home at age 73. 

Born on July 23, 1952, in Denver, he was one of eleven children of Mary Martinez. His father was Antonio Trejo.He was preceded in death by his son Arthur, his parents, his brothers Lencho, Joseph, and Frank, and his sisters Emma, Beatrice, and Amelia. He is survived by his wife, Berta; stepchildren Phil (Abby), Michelle, Dawn, and Andrew; and children Tony (Tina), Jesse, Sergio (Niccole), and Lauren. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brother George, and sisters Veronica and Sara.

Tony served as a communications manager at Mountain Bell for over 30 years before retiring. Aside from his career, Tony was passionate about what he loved. In his younger days, he found peace fishing in the Rocky Mountain rivers. He was a devoted fan of the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies, often cheering passionately whether he was with family or enjoying a game. He cherished life’s simple pleasures.Most importantly, Tony’s Christian faith was central to his life. It grounded him and provided strength and comfort throughout his journey. He will be remembered as a man of deep faith and loyalty, a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 29, 2026, at New Hope Ministries, 5303 W. Kentucky Ave, Lakewood, CO. Attendees are welcome to share a special memory.
