Trudee DeKay White, 63, of Aurora, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014.
She was born to the late Melvin and Waynette DeKay, February 23, 1951, in Hanford, CA. Trudee graduated from North Torrance High School in 1969 and received a Masters of Divinity from United Graduate College and Seminary in 2008. She married Willie White in 1975 and they lived together in Germany, California and Oregon before relocating to Colorado in 1991.
Trudee truly enjoyed working. She worked in the Dental field for many years. For the last 15 years she was an Administrative Assistant for the Director of the Safeway Distribution Center. She also worked part-time as a Registrar at Everest College for several years. However, her "heart job" was touching lives as a Wedding Minister for over eight years.
Trudee enjoyed studying the Word and worshiping the Lord, most recently attending Living Water Church. She also loved to write weddings, poetry and novels.
Trudee is survived by her husband Willie White; two children: Sunshine Trujillo of Aurora, CO and Autumn Dickinson of Brighton, CO. She is also survived by five grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Waynette DeKay.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to either Denver Hospice or University of Colorado Hospital Cancer Center.
Services will be held at Living Water Church Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 10:00 am.
