Verlan Frank Fiscus, 87 of Wheat Ridge, passed away December 20, 2014.
He was born March 20, 1927 in New Raymer, Colorado, the son of Melvin and Gladys (Sibson) Fiscus. He attended Denver University. He served in the Navy during World War II. He founded Fiscus Feed Mill Equipment in the 1960's. On December 25, 1971 he married Edith Barrett, of Denver, Colorado. In 1974 he founded Fiscus Steel Fabrication in Commerce City and retired in 2000.
After Edith passed, Verlan always wanted to learn to dance, so he took ballroom dance lessons. He found another love in dancing. If he could, he would dance seven days a week.
Verlan is survived by his step-daughter, brother and numerous nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister and wife Edith.
