Vernon Anderson

May 25, 1923 — January 1, 2012

Vernon Charles Anderson, 88, WWII veteran and home builder, went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2012. He was born in Arriba, Colorado, on May 25, 1923, to Eric Oscar Anderson and Minnie Mable Coulson.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Anderson, and his children and grand-children. He was father to Jim Anderson and Debby Anderson Mosher; grandfather to Jesse Anderson, Rebecca Anderson, Naomi Geier, Sarah Mosher, Suzy Green, Jonathan Mosher; and great-grandfather to Miles Mosher and James Green. He was fond of daughter-in-law Sue Geier and grandson-in-law Casey Green. Vern was preceded in death by his first wife, Alva Anderson.

Vern served proudly during WWII with Company B 138th Engineer Combat Battalion, and as a General Contractor built homes throughout the front range area, Evergreen, and Estes Park.

He was a long time member of the Central Christian Church and its Kum Dubl Class, and he and Donna were members of Southeast Christian Church.

Vern's Memorial Service will held Thursday afternoon, January 5th, at 3:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 190 N Potomac, Aurora.
