Victoria Suttles Duncan, age 81, Lakewood, Colorado passed away on December 30, 2024 at The Denver Hospice. Victoria was born in Los Angeles, California on September 4, 1943 to parents Mack and Irene Suttles, the oldest of six children.
She was a determined person who put her family first, including her beloved dogs. Victoria had two children; Cynthia and Zach and was married to David for 32 years. She was an accomplished seamstress, had a passion for cooking and baking, enjoyed gardening, and expressed her creative side with jewelry making and decorating her home. She enjoyed traveling and her most recent trip was in August 2024 to Italy to celebrate her granddaughter’s wedding.
She lived her professional life with intention and completed a masters degree in accountancy, obtained a certified public accountant designation and had a successful career as an auditor with the U.S. Dept of Education, Office of Inspector General. She was a proud member of the Swiss Society of Denver.
Victoria is survived by her husband David Eckman, her children Cynthia (Kelly) Rott, Fargo, ND and Zach (Kim) Mazone, Dresden, ME and her beloved dog Onnie. She was the proud grandmother to Cassandra (Levon) Rott, Andrew (Kristy) Rott, Sienna (Alec) Collins, Lucca Mazone. She is also survived by her mother, Irene Suttles, Houston TX and brothers Gary (Kathy) Suttles, Micheal (Joann) Suttles, Steven (Kari) Suttles, and Archie (Joyce) Suttles. Many nieces and nephews and special friends. Preceded in death by a brother, Nick Suttles and father, Mack Suttles and her beloved dogs, Nikkie, Georgie, and Haddie.
A celebration of life will be arranged in 2025.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to The Denver Hospice.
