Virginia L. Russell passed away after a short illness on January 29, 2010 at the age of 88.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marty Rene. Virginia is survived by son, Steven Swails, of Brasstown, North Carolina; daughter, Joyce Anderson-Mills, of Golden, Colorado; son, Allen Russell of Las Vegas, Nevada; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and sister, Florence Ruth Galler.
She was a volunteer for the Salvation Army for many years playing the piano. Virginia was an enthusiastic participant of many Salvation Army senior camps, contributing music and song, and a strong supporter of her church and her many friends.
