Virginia Medina

March 13, 1925 — August 28, 2015

Virginia Medina was born to Phillip and Lucy Leyba 1925 in Segundo Colorado she was 90 years old. She is survived by 1 sister Mary Burg and 5 children Philip Gonzales, Jean Atencio, Roberta Hubert, Juanita DeHerrera, Dan Torres. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by 1 sister Della Leyba, and 4 brothers. Salvador ( Sam) Leyba, Lloyd Leyba, Florence Leyba, and Louie Leyba.

She was raised in Trinadad Colorado and in the early 1940's left to help and support the war efforts were she met a soldier and later married after getting discharged from the army due to poor eye sight. He too was from Trinadad Colorado. They moved to Pueblo and she gave birth to her first son later they moved to Denver where she raised her 5 children.

She was a stay at home mother but in the late 70's she began selling burritos earning the name "Burrito Lady". She was well known for her strong personality and her giving nature. She was a social butterfly and a free spirited women. Known to most people in west Denver. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by anybody that knew
her.
