Vivian Janell (McDermed) Austin, 88, was born March 19, 1926, Augusta, KS. Died December 28, 2014, Denver, CO.
Vivian passed away peacefully at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, Colorado on December 28 of natural causes.
She graduated from Augusta High School in 1944 and Colorado Women's College in Denver, Colorado, obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Music ('48) and Early Childhood Education ('72).
Vivian married first, Clayton Greenleaf in May, 1951 and their union gave them two daughters that reside in Denver and Lone Tree, Colorado.
Vivian married second, LaVerne "Barney" Austin in 1982. They enjoyed 24 years together before his death in 2006.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Elaine Bristol (Richard) and Laura Jane Garyet (Michael), and 1 granddaughter. Also by Barney's 2 sons and 1 daughter: 3 grandsons and 3 granddaughters.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, December 31st at 3:00 p.m. at Peace Mennonite Community Church, 13601 East Alameda Avenue, Aurora, Colorado, 80012. Interment will be held Friday, January 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at Hillside Cemetary in Julesburg, Colorado.
