Wanda Yevette Thomas, 59, of Aurora, passed away February 26, 2017.
She was born July 5, 1957 in Springfield, Massachusetts, the daughter of Morris and Pearlie Mae (Howard) Thomas. She was a graduate of Widefield High School and earned an Associate's Degree at Blair Business School.
Wanda is survived by her son, Marcel Franklin; five sisters, Crystal Peters, Sandra Thomas, Angela Thomas, Cynthia Thomas-Gilbert (Michael Gilbert), and Vlancia Thomas; and sister-in-law, Lynn Thomas, as well as nephews, Brandon Thomas and Morris Gilbert, and nieces Jennifer Thomas and Leanndra Gilbert. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Keith Thomas.
Wanda was an 8 times published author, under the pen name Wanda Y. Thomas, with several more stories being worked on. She worked in the cable industry for over 30 years and loved to watch classic movies. She was and is loved, and will be missed.
