Ward L. Sells , 82, of Northglenn, passed away June 13, 2016.
He was born October 2, 1933 in Bristol, Virginia, the son of Howard and Mary Lee (Dickson) Sells.
He was a graduate of Blountville High School in Blountville, Tennessee. He attended Amarillo College in Amarillo, Texas and took some courses at Front Range Community College.
On December 15, 1957 he married Lovena Beavers.
Ward honorably served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a lifelong Christian.
Ward enjoyed gardening and floral gardening. He was gardening until Monday, the day that he passed away. His true joy was his family, especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved the Rocky Mountains, elk-watching, watching the fall colors in the mountains and photography. He was a big game hunter in his earlier years. Both Ward and Lovena faithfully supported St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, St. Labre Indian School in Ashland, Montana and St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain, South Dakota.
Ward is survived by Lovena Sells, his loving wife of 58 years; Three Children, Melissa F. (Lee) Deeg, Eric W. (Audrey) Sells and Megan L. (Greg) Scholl; Seven Grandchildren, Chelsea A. Deeg, Cherish K. (fiance Jordan Winders) Deeg, Olivia F. Deeg, Aleisa N. (fiance Dustin Grover) Sells, Spenser C. (fiancee Maria Lara) Scholl, Nicholas C. (fiancee Krysti Stehle) Scholl and Madeline F. Scholl; Two Great-Grandchildren, Annabelle L. Winders and Sherra M. Winders; Sister, Kathryn Nichols; and Many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by Father, Howard W. Sells, Mother, Mary Lee Rebecca Sells, Grandchild, Preston T. Deeg, Brother, John W. Sells and Sister, Peggy Loggans.
