Wayne Earl Lee, Sr., of Denver, Colorado, died Sunday, October 6, 2013.
He was born October 27, 1930 in Alexandria, Nebraska. At a young age, he started help working the farm while while his two brothers served in the Military. He worked odd jobs and at the grain elevator in the small town of Alexandria. In his young years he met and married Norma J. Wright. Wayne served his country in the U.S. Army for two years during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Midwest Springs in 2003 after many years of service.
In Wayne and Norma's 62 years of marriage, together they had four children: Cheryl (Carl) Bilich, of St. Petersburg, Florida, Wayne E. Lee, Jr., of Martel, Nebraska, Linda (Robert) Springer, of Lakewood, Colorado and Steven W. Lee, of Westminster, Colorado. Preceding Wayne in death are his parents, Catherine and Floyd Lee, two brothers, Gerald and Harold Lee, son-in-law, Robert E. Springer and two sisters-in-law, Neola and Darlene Lee.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Lee; his four children, Cheryl, Wayne, Linda and Steven; two sisters, Betty (Robert) Smith, Patty (Albert) Simacheck; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home - West Metro Chapel, on Friday, October 11 at 10:00 AM with viewing thirty minutes prior to the service.
A Military Graveside Committal Service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery, on Tuesday, October 15 at 1:30 PM with Full Military Honors by the United States Army and the All Veterans Honor Guard.
