Wayne Ray Jacobsen, 74, passed away on August 1st, 2026, in Arvada, Colorado. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pati, his son, Mick, his daughter, Tara, their spouses, Debbie and Jason, and his grandson, Johnathon.
He lived life to the fullest! He has more death-defying stories in his life than most men would ever survive. He was never one to sit back and let someone else do something he could do himself. He took care of his home and family with steadfast devotion. He was a gentleman to his wife and an inspiration to his children.
He succumbed to COPD in his home, with his loved ones at his side. He fought the disease like a warrior! Upon diagnosis, his doctor gave him 1-3 years, but he fought it off for 6 years! We are so proud of him.
Other than his family, his greatest passion and joy came from riding Harley-Davidsons! A tradition that he passed on to his children, who will ride in his honor every time they hit the road. He spent many happy miles on the twisty roads of the Colorado Rockies and the Black Hills of South Dakota. He is riding them in the sky now. No potholes or road snakes. Just smooth riding!
He is, and will be, missed by his friends and family.
Ride safe, Dad! Keep the shiny side up.
