Wayne Eugene Rogers

July 8, 1948 — April 28, 2025

Wayne Eugene Rogers was born July 8, 1948, in Manhattan, Kansas, and passed April 28, 2025. He was the son of Sylvia A. Rogers and William T. Rogers who preceded him in death. Having become disabled at an early age, he endeavored to live a life of independence with appropriate care and assistance.

His education included graduation from East High School in Denver and receiving an associate degree from Denver Metro College. Wayne attended Park Hill United Methodist Church with his family during his youth.

An avid reader, he enjoyed books on history, religious fiction, and Biblical prophecy. Wayne loved spending time with friends and family enjoying food, entertainment, and periodic trips to Blackhawk to test his luck. His dry humor and mischievous smile kept the family laughing when together.

Wayne is survived by brother, Colonel Warren A. Rogers (Nancy), US Army retired, Henderson, Nevada; sister, Gloria A. Rogers, Denver, Colorado; uncle, Elija “Baby” Rogers (Jean), Washington, D.C.; cousin, Wayne E.
