Listen to Obituary

William “Billy” Aragon, a dedicated and compassionate caregiver, loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, passed away suddenly on May 17, 2026, in Denver, the city where he was born on October 8, 1972. Throughout his life, Billy led with his heart, embracing each day with a sarcasm and humor that endeared him to those who knew him well. His passion for sports was unmatched, as was his commitment to the well-being of others, a combination that truly defined the man he was.

Billy attended Denver North High School, graduating in 1992. Later in life, he earned his certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a role in which he found profound fulfillment. He most recently worked at Lakeside Post Acute Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, dedicating himself tirelessly to helping those in his care feel their very best. His work in hospice was a testament to his extraordinary kindness and empathy, touching countless lives in moments of vulnerability.

Known for his generosity—sometimes to a fault—Billy’s spirit was exemplified by fond memories such as the Christmas when he spent his entire bonus on Broncos gear for his family, seamlessly weaving together his love of Broncos football and his cherished family bonds.

Billy’s pride and joy were his children and grandchildren, who illuminated his life and whom he loved fiercely. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nicole Buffalow; his beloved children, Alana Aragon (Greg), Elias Aragon (Siany), Blyss Aragon, and Avery Buffalow; as well as his treasured grandchildren, Heziah, Ezra, and Khalil. He also leaves behind his parents, Bill and Anna Aragon; brothers Joseph Aragon (Pauline), Stephen Linkous, and Manuel Aragon (Sarah); sisters Kishka Dove and Lynelle Dove; and extended family including several aunts, uncles, and cousins who carry his memory forward.

Billy was preceded in death by his biological mother, Linda Dove; cousin Gina Rae Marquez; and great-aunt Nelli Maes.

A man who loved watching sports, enjoying Mexican food, and taking walks with his dog Bentley, Billy’s spirit will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him. His kindness, humor, and unwavering dedication to family and those he cared for leaving a mark on the hearts of many.
