William John Drott, 60 passed away unexpectedly February 1, 2017 in Aurora, Colorado.
William "Bill" Drott was born on January 15, 1957 in Gay, Michigan to George Henry Drott and Margaret Mehner "Drott" Fowler.
He lived in Hubbell, MI until he joined the Navy and has been in Colorado since 1985. Bill attended school in Lake Linden/Hubbell High School and attended Suomi College, in Houghton/Hancock, Michigan and graduated with an associate's degree in applied arts. He joined the navy in 1976 and spent 16 years active duty until he was put on disability from an injury acquired while serving in the Navy. He was currently working as a CNA at an Acute Care Hospital with very critical patients. He was always a very hard worker and dedicated to helping others. Bill is survived by his only son, Chadd Drott from Westminster, Colorado.
He will be missed by his dear friends and mother of his child, Starr Drott and Steve Tripi from Westminster, Colorado along with many friends and co-workers. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 901 S Sheridan Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80226. Viewing before service will be from 12:30 PM to 01:30 PM, funeral service to follow at 01:30 PM followed by escorted procession to Fort Logan. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Colorado Humane Society at humanesociety.org or Denver Dumb Friends League at DDFL.com.
