William Gordon Mulholland
Bill was born on September 16, 1937 in Fort Morgan, Colorado. He died of COPD on August 1, 2015 at home in Lakewood, Colorado. He is survived by his wife Jena of almost 57 years, and his son William, Jr. We had two sons William, Jr. and Richard James. Richard died in August 1993 in San Francisco, California. Bill, Jr.'s wife is Sherry. Bill, Jr. had two daughters whose names are Christy and Cathy. When Christy and Shane Brown were married they helped raise Jessica Cook age 18, a son Kaleb age 12, and a daughter McKenzie age 11. Cathy and Erik Ballew have four daughters, Kaylee age 17, Patricia age15, Erin age 12, and Abigayle age 7.
Bill was usually watching Sports or old Westerns on TV. He loved almost any kind of sports. He also loved to read and was usually watching TV and reading at the same time. Bill went to an exercise class for his COPD twice a week for almost 6 years. He enjoyed the patients and the teachers very much. He felt that this class extended his life. Bill loved hearing and telling jokes. Bill was in Palliative Care and then later The Denver Hospice. He felt he got good care from both places. Kathleen, who was the Chaplain of the Palliative Care became a friend of ours. She loaned Bill books on religion. Bill and Kathleen would discuss the books she loaned him. They both enjoyed this. Bill will be missed by his family and his friends.
