William James McLean - a resident of Aurora, CO, son of Walter J. McLean and Elaine Childs, died Saturday, July 9th around noon on the way to Blackhawk, Colorado. He is survived by his father Walter J. McLean of Aurora, Colorado; his Brother, Brett Alan McLean, of Palmer, Alaska; his Mother, Carol Elaine Childs of Burlington, Washington; also numerous Step-Brothers and Step-Sisters; and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
Bill was born June 11th 1969 in Orofino, Idaho. He attended school in Pocatelo, Idaho until he was 16 years old, then he attended 3 years of high school in Huntington, Oregon, and approximately one year of high school in Little Rock, Arkansas. Then he attended college at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Arkansas. After he graduated from college he went to work for Walmart working with computers. After a time working in Arkansas, he worked for a firm in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and then moved on to work for a firm in Denver, Colorado, soon after he worked at another firm in Los Angeles, California. Later he moved back to Colorado to work for Tyco Inc. until his death.
Bill was also an avid sports fan - he played football in Blackfoot, Idaho until he moved to Huntington, Oregon where he continued to play football and basketball for two years for the "Huntington Locomotives". There he was power forward on the basketball team, linebacker on defense and a left end on offense. Then in Arkansas at North Little Rock, he played both a tackle, a guard position when he was a senior.
Bill was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved spending most of his free time with his Dad and on the open road.
Bill will be loved always and missed dearly.
