Listen to Obituary

William Joseph “Joe” Long, of Colorado, passed away peacefully. He was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, to Kenneth E. Long and Lois F. Long (Robbins).

Joe dedicated 34 years of his career as a truck driver, proudly transporting vehicles as a car carrier for Hadley Auto Transport before his retirement. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures — bowling, dancing, and spending time on the golf course as well as time at the cabin. He was also a devoted fan of the Denver Broncos and rarely missed cheering on his team.

Joe is survived by his loving spouse, Hazel Long; his daughters, Dianna Long and Tina Long; his stepdaughter, Roxanna Caldwell-Tillery; his grandchildren, Joshua Vigil, Alexandria Vigil, and Hannah Vigil; and his devoted dog, Bella Rose.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Lois Long; his brothers, Victor Long (Bonnie Long) and Daniel Long (Carol Long); and his stepson, Stacey Caldwell.

Joe will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his hard working spirit, and the love he shared with those closest to him.

A memorial service will be held on March 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Golden Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3101 S. Golden Road, Golden, Colorado 80401.
