Willie D. House

It is with broken hearts that we accept God’s will and announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend. Mrs. Willie D. (Rice) House. She went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 26, at her home in Denver, Colorado. During her last days with us on this side of Heaven, she was comforted while listening to her favorite song Precious Memories… how they linger… how they ever flood my soul, and also by listening to many of her favorite Hymns and Spirituals. She was also comforted by hearing her favorite scriptures, the 23rd Division of Psalms and Revelation 4.

Willie was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers-in-law Beola (Robert Sr.) Walton, Clara Mae Rice, Rosa (John) Schmeigel, three brothers and two sisters-in-law Albert (Katzio) Brown, Apostle Doris Rice, Moses Brown, and Joseph Rice.

She leaves to cherish beautiful memories of her: Mr. Herman House (her beloved and devoted husband of 67 years); Five children: Herman Ridell (Jacci) House of Davenport, IA; Rev. Ernestine Jackson (Denver, CO); Patricia (Fredrick, Sr.) Hudnall, Philip (Terri) House both of Aurora, CO; and Cheryl House (Denver, CO). One sister: Thelma (Pastor Joe B.) Hardwick of Los Angeles, CA. Five brothers: Rev. Wilkie Rice, Sr., Fred (Darlene) Rice, Apostle Lee Ford Rice, Theodore (Clementine) Rice all of St. Louis, MO, and Larry (Doris) Rice of Pine Bluff, AR. Eleven grandchildren: Steve, Sheldon, Branden (LaTasha) and Rev. Brian Jackson; Amber (Nick) Dogan, Frederick II (Kirsten) Hudnall, Micah Hudnall; Tivoli (Brett) Fields, Tahonie Watts-House, Philip (Shari) Watts-House, Jr., Zuri House, 25 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
