Yira Idalia Munoz Murillo

Yira Idalia Munoz Murillo, 51, of Aurora, passed away March 28, 2015 after a struggle with cancer. Yira was born March 13 1964, in Atlántida Honduras, the daughter of Julio C. Munoz and Obdulia Murillo.

Yira thoroughly enjoyed traveling. She visited several continents and countless countries around the world. She was defined by her immense love and dedication to her family. Yira graduated from the National University of Honduras with a Registered Nurse degree.

In 1989, Yira married the love of her life Mario Mejia Martinez and lived in San Pedro Sula, Honduras where she raised her two children and worked as a Registered Nurse at Hospital del Valle and Mario Catarino Rivas Hospital for more than 20 years.

In 2006 the family relocated to Aurora, CO where she continued her nursing career at the Denver Health Medical Center.

Yira is survived by her husband Mario; two sons, Cesar (Ami) Mejia Munoz and Mario J. Mejia Munoz; granddaughter, Amy; niece Zenia; nephew Jonathan; mother, Santos Murillo; two sisters, Yamileth Munoz (John) and Yanna Rodriguez and a number of other relatives and close friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Julio C. Munoz.
