Eleanor Alice Shantz McDanal

Eleanor (Ellie) died on July 5, 2020 after 95 years on this earth. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Norman, and her daughter, Linda McDanal. She is survived by children Jan, Dave and Erin and her sister, Marion Nesladek. She is also survived by grandchildren Lela and Stoney Neff, Sam McDanal, Kelli Hansen, Jennifer McNear, Alicia and Sara Christensen. She also had 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She grew up in Fort Collins and Denver Colorado and went to East High School in Denver. She graduated from Denver University. She had many friends due to her kind nature and sparkling wit. She volunteered for many years at the Inner City Perish food bank and attended the Kirk of Bonnie Brae Church for 60 years. She also belonged to many book and bridge clubs. She was an avid traveller and fisherwoman. Her family and friends will sorely miss her.
