Harold Lapp went to his heavenly home in the late hours of February 22, 2021 at Collier Hospice Center. Harold passed away from complications due to a broken hip at the age of 88.

His parents migrated from Germany to the United States. Harold was born on July 9th, 1932 in Fort Morgan, Colorado. He was one of 5 children, that included one brother and three sisters. His parents had a farm in the Fort Morgan area and Harold graduated from Keenesburg High School. He and his family moved to Denver following his graduation and Harold joined the Navy Reserves and went to work at Gardner Denver in Denver. He married Dorothy Reiber in 1951 and they started farming with his sister and his brother-in-law. Their first two children, Art and Cyndi were born while they worked as farmers and they moved to Commerce City in 1957. Harold started working as a carpenter, building houses and later started his own business, Lapp Builders, Inc. In 1965, their son Scott came along and they became a family of 5. They moved to Lakewood, Colorado in 1966 and in 1967, their 4th child, Trish was born.

Years later he remarried Maria Nowlin and he started a new occupation with Evergreen Disposal as a maintenance man. He retired in 2006 and enjoyed working around the house and enjoyed watching his favorite show, All Star Wrestling. His nickname was “Wrestling Grandpa”!

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his two dogs, Sammie and Baby, and he always offered you a Coke when you came to visit because that was his favorite drink.
