Ed was happily married to Edith Castillo DyReyes who was his best friend and partner in life for 19 years at the time of his death. They have an only son named Denver who was a Guidance Counselor/ Mental Health Professional working at British International School in the Philippines.
Ed is survived by his wife Edith, his only son Denver and brothers, sisters Carmen Nietes, Dr. Felix DyReyes, Dr. Roberto DyReyes, Jonathan DyReyes, Dr. Teresita DyReyes (Deceased), Luis DyReyes, Bernadita Eusebio and Carmelita Santa Ana together with their families.
Besides spending time with his family and friends. Ed has a passion of driving around especially here in Colorado, giving rides to the old Filipino friends who need rides to go for important appointments, watching religious, historical and documentary videos and movies, reading books, solving puzzles, attending sporting events, caring for his Parakeet birds and sometimes going to the casino. Ed is a very smart person, amiable and a very caring individual who always had a big heart especially to the needy. He touched so many lives with his generosity and passion for life.
A public viewing and Rosary prayer will be held on Tuesday, the 3rd of August, 2021 (4:00-7:00 pm) at Newcomer Funeral and Crematory located at 190 Potomac St. Aurora, Colorado 80011.
A celebration of life mass will be held on the next day, 4th of August, 2021(10-11:30 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church (13120 E. Kentucky Avenue- Aurora, CO 80012 followed by an interment (12:00 pm ) at Fairmont Cemetery located at 430 S. Quebec St. Denver, CO 80247.
