Pauline Magdelena Jesse (Hergott), 92, of Denver passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014.

She was born to the late Matilda and Joseph Hergott on April 5, 1922 in Gilead, Nebraska. She was third to the youngest of thirteen children with her twin brother, Paul. She graduated from Fairbury High School. Shortly after she moved to Denver, she married Herbert Jesse in September 8, 1958 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gilead, NE and together they raised five children.

Some of the jobs Pauline held were: telephone operator, assembly line worker - assembling and transporting bombs (during WWII), JC Penny sales clerk, homemaker, and cook in the school kitchens.

Pauline had a strong faith and attended St. Jude Catholic church in Lakewood, CO. She was a hard worker who baked her own bread, made her own jam, and sewed many things as well. She was a patient and loving mother, always practical and down to earth. Even when she was suffering, she never complained, she just took life as it came.

She is preceded in death by her parents, six brothers; Paul, Lawrence, Francis, Edward, Edmund and Herbert, and three sisters; Theresa Chanceller, Irene Brackle, and Lois Daringer.

Pauline is survived by her husband, Herbert, and her five children, John Jesse and wife Paula of Littleton, CO, Julie Brill and husband Clint of Overton, NV, Janet Martin and husband Scott of Rock Spring, GA, Brian Jesse of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Pamela Chavez and husband Carl of Lakewood, CO. She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren and her great granddaughter, one brother Joe Hergott and wife Bev of Hebron, NE, two sisters Gertrude Vonderhaar of Carlsbad, CA and Florine Lenahan of Crete, IL, sister-in-law Patricia Hergott of Hebron, NE, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

We were blessed to have her in our lives and she will be greatly missed.
